Apolo II – Landing

Posted: April 24, 2011 by Polo Camo in Uncategorized

The demolition of the Polo Haus is imminent and in order to safely store our sideboards, goals and electrical switchboard we needed to find a replacement for the “medium term”.  Upon the excellent suggestion of Mercutio Messenger I began a searching Trademe for an old caravan that might become our temporary storage facility.  In doing so I stumbled upon a listing for an “Old Shed” and bid on it.  For less than $100 we now own the clubs first real asset – a 2.4 x 2.0m timber shed (aka Apolo II).  Photo’s below of its transfer from Hornby to Heathcote thanks to KiwiRobbie.  A huge thanks to all who pitched in to help get this from one side of CHC to the other – you all deserve plentiful chocolate easter eggs as reward, hopefully that oversize bunny was kind enough to do so…

As long as the demolition crew pull down the correct building when they finally arrive we should be sweet.
